amazing that Tokyo is investing more into art and culture, especially someone like Moriyama.

Michelin’s Tokyo Guides included the public toilets to inform visitors about this important amenity. They are located in the areas that attract a lot of foot traffic, with the distance between locations short enough that walkers aren’t left in the lurch.

As for Guides in the toilets, if there is a Michelin Guide in one of them it has been left by a previous user. The city didn’t supply reading material in the toilets when I was there, most recently a decade and a half ago.

In what way is this amazing? This has been part of Tokyo ever since it began rebuilding after WW2 and their public toilets featured in Michelin Tokyo Guides
