I laugh myself sick over the American Manga Awards being on my birthday. I strongly suspect that there is nothing nominated that I have any interest in. 😁 (full disclosure, I’m not that into manga. Again, most of what I would be interested in has zero chance of being brought to America. Call me when Prefectural Earth Defense Force gets licensed. Baradagi is my wifu. )
I don’t deserve to be in an Otaku no Video chapter, but I have long thought there SHOULD be a new tale added, of Giant X creating the merch monster that is Weebvangelion. And then how Anno saved the 50th anniversary of Yamato.
Patrick, I grok about 98% of all the references you guys drop. I get a little lost on punk/rap and pink cinema but otherwise I’m phased in. I have survived and found myself New Type, but not New Coke.
