So much to comment on! Can I remember it all? Probably not. 😁

First up, super congratulations on the new book Patrick! I wish I had the funds for such a luxury but not now, so keep that thing in print, please!

I would NEVER say cut back on the Godzilla talk. Never ever.

Viz needs to reprint the Dr. Slump manga in the U.S.. maybe give it the hardcover/color pages treatment this time. AND KEEP THAT S&@T IN PRINT YA DOOFS! grumblemumble stupid American thinking ‘oh we only think we’ll sell 5000 copies nobody cares anyway’ crap….i mean wasn’t the whole point of the manga revolution to be like Japan? I know, tons of books there now get the ‘one print and done’ crap, I blame the Harvard MBA.

A tale of Suncoast: two memories of the DBZ VHS tape section. 1. Some asshat came in daily, DAILY, to go thru the tapes and turn them to make the panorama picture of the spines. GGGRRR I hated that! Pain in the ASS for shelf maintainance and inventory control. And I NEVER CAUGHT THE BASTARD. 2. There was a cloud of weed stink that hung around the section. No lie.

You forgot the other pillar of anime fandom from that time. Gundam Wing. That and Ronin Warriors were what brought the ladies to the party.

I do get sad how little Dr. Slump gets mentioned by all the fans morning Toriyama’s passing. Like I said elsewhere, if not for Slump we probably would not have One Piece.

So thought question for you guys, given the power and smarts of Toriyama’s editor. Do you think that editor was the one who called for Arale to change from that little girl to the more chibi roundular style? Was it to prevent the lolicon fans from getting involved? I say this because Toriyama does like to draw ‘em curvy and young. See also his Toriyama theater stories.

Does this count as a microblog? :)

Oh the blogs, like Livejournal, seem to have died because of some foolishness about the host being in Russia and people got stupid, as is par for the interwebs 😁

Keep on keeping on!
