I am crying hot tears of shame over that Dougram w/ hang glider kit. I feel if I went to that shop I would end up like Joe Yabuki, slumped down on a stool with a slight grin on my battered face. Ded.
There is a guy on ebay who bought out a massive collection of vintage kits from the ‘80s and has been selling them for awhile now, with no real sign of running out. (It was one of the old mail order/wholesale to hobby shop companies). Chrusher Joe kits pop up now and again, prices are all over the place from “ok, that was a 500 Yen kit, I’m comfortable paying $20 for it” to “you really want $100 for that cruddy Aoshima Ideon bad guy ship kit? You couldn’t GIVE those away back then!”
But if you want to bid on a brick of 10 of the Nichimo 1/200 Vf-1s Battloid… 😁
The guy is Wise Guys Hobbies LLC . He’s got some Orguss kits I’m burning for. He’s got the 1/35 scale Powered Suit for $19.99 + shipping. That’s a tad high for a 100 Yen kit, but how often does one see that in the wild? I wanna do a diorama of that and the recent Hasegawa 1/35 Galleon locked in mortal combat. If only. 😉
